I've been trying to buy it from the app catalog the whole weekend, but my credit card isn't accepted D: Hence, my country isn't even listed in WebOS :'(

Entropay's VCC isn't a solution either. I'd recommend no one to use Entropay. It's looks like one big scam:
- Not accepted on Windows Phone 7's Marketplace
- Not accepted by Palm/WebOS (It is designated as a fraudelent credit card O.o)
- Not accepted by Amazon
- You cannot cancel your account without losing your money (20 USD, which is the smallest amount you can load it with)
- 7.50 USD is charged when you transfer it to your real credit card

They will open.... all you have to do is close out the "memory full" message. If you look on the Picsel website it's a known error that they appear to not have worked out yet.

I like this software alot, THANK YOU for posting it. One problem I'm having with it though is with the screen rotation on it. I've locked screen rotation on the TP, but when I open a pdf with Smart Office it's still constantly rotating if I make the slightest movement on the TP. Anyone else getting this? It drives me a little nuts when I'm attempting to read something and every other second it turns and changes orientation. Would love to find a fix. Otherwise, great find.

Same here with my TouchPad (webOS v3.0.4)...
When "Rotation Lock" is turned "On" this app bypasses that setting somehow.
It's one of the first things I noticed.

thanks for sharing, this is much more better and versatile than the preinstalled quickoffice app.
but somehow while I didn't encounter any problem with the rotating screen; the keyboard won't show up when I use excel, though it works fine when I use word or powerpoint. Is there anyway to sort this problem out ?

Picsel Smart Office is an excellent app. It really brings out the clearness and quality of pdf files. Thank you for making it available for us (who are outside US) who cannot buy paid apps. Keep the quality apps coming...I really love my HP Touchpad, I'm proud that I own one.

I had the same problem the first time that I installed it. I deleted it, and reinstalled it a second time. Now, it works correctly. The only differences was that during the second install, I had the screen rotated 90 deg. counter clockwise (camera to the right). The first time it was facing up.
I wonder if it tries to check the orientation during install, and gets confused...I have not tested my theory as the software is currently working for me and I would like to keep it that way. However, as it does not work correctly for you, try removing, then install again with TP rotated.
Your mileage may vary.
