How To: Install webOS Apps and Games from webOSbuzz.com
There needs to be some sort of clarification as some users don't like to browse around and learn
- First before you do anything, You need to install Preware..
How To: Install Preware onto the HP TouchPad (these instructions can be for any webOS device)
- Now you can download apps and games specifically for the HP TouchPad here:
HP TouchPad HD Apps Only
HP TouchPad HD Games Only

Note these 2 links above were apps and games for smartphones, and some won't necessarily work with the HP TouchPad due to its larger resolution. If you'd like to try, post on the thread and let others know if it worked or not.
- After downloading the .ipk (file type webOS devices use), you need something to install the .ipk files. You have two options:
- webOS Quick Install (Download HERE)
Press the green + sign. There will be a pop up to locate the .ipk file. Once selected, you can press Install. - Preware (Installation HERE)
Preware is a install from device method. You can put your TouchPad in USB Mode and drag and drop the .ipk file into the TouchPad. Select a location easy to find. You can either open that file from a file manager like Internal Proz or File Manager. Use Preware to open or install the APP.
NOTE: ONCE YOU INSTALL THE APP OR GAME, YOU MIGHT HAVE TO REBOOT THE DEVICE IF IT DOESN'T LAUNCH OR IS NOT SHOWING IN THE APP LAUNCHER!

Thanks for the easy to follow guide. Followed it and was able to get my new touchpad up and running with preware without any problems.
