How can you disable App update notifications. Also, looking for bass reduction.

Specifically cracked apps, but i won't be picky about it.

While I have you here, let me go ahead and ask for a way to reduce the bass frequencies. If anyone knows of a system-wide equalizer please inform me. For Android users; thinkg DSPManager. The Volume Boost (full) is awesome. And I feel if we could reduce the 18-20k ranges it would not sound so horrid at FULL blast... It's so amazingly loud. This would be best if it only affected the internal speakers and not headphones. Also, I've noticed that disabling Beats Audio does nothing on internal speakers [that I could tell].

I'm very new to the Touchpad, and that is one of about 5 or 6 questions I'm really interested in learning about too. It starts to get confusing as to what was a "free" download app from the HP catalog, and what came from here... Now I'm always attempting to cross reference what can or cannot be updated. Would be great if the update function could be shut off.

there's no option to select "don't download" when you click on the app in the software manager on my touchpad. is there some other setting or software you have on yours that enabled that, or are you just confused about what we were asking about?

I don't have the triangle next to my apps, just a top side notification near the e-mails. How do I disable that notification?

Notifications at the top of the screen when dropped down can be slid off that menu. I found this mostly helpful when it asks for new search engines.

well I found this on precentral, have not tried it though http://forums.precentral.net/webos-d...os-update.html

I'm assuming you run WebOS Quick Install and run this in the command line

Here is a quick and dirty way to block webOS updates:

    cd /usr/bin
    mount -o remount,rw /
    chmod -x UpdateDaemon
    mount -o remount,ro /

    Then, either reboot or execute:
    killall UpdateDaemon

No more executing the update program.

    Re-Enable Updates

If you disabled your update you might want to re-enable it at some point.

    cd /usr/bin
    mount -o remount,rw /
    chmod +x UpdateDaemon
    mount -o remount,ro /

Then restart your phone and automatic updating should be back.
