Streaming TV from a TV tuner is working :-)
Hi
Am a newbie to the TP but have experience with TV tuners. Have been able to successfully stream and watch TV from the following devices:
Hauppauge WinTV Extend 7.2 (Nova TD Stick DVB-T UK Freeview): 1 cpu core was maxing while the other was not being used (maybe both of my CPU are not fully over-clocked using F15c Eagle ???). The Audio and Video was in Sync and watchable, audio was good, the real test is when fast moving sports is on like Soccer but will have to wait till the weekend for that !
PCTV DistanTV Mobile (Nanostick 290e DVB-T2): having a issue where it looks like the Flash is auto loading (some people have mentioned it on other sites that it keeps on flashing and auto loading again and again). Will need more investigation.
PCTV Broadway 2T: does not work at all, you get a message that you browser is too old and need to update ? I have not applied the advanced web browser so will try it but it looks like the stock java / flash needs to be updated ?
Sky TV Go: Needs a updated Silverlight version (There is one for Linux but no way of installing it !!)
Will update again.

How exactly are you interfacing the touchpad with these tv tuners... because I have a tv tuner on my pc and would love to be able to stream to my tp. Tell me a little bit more about your method.

http://www.hauppauge.com/site/suppor...rt_wintv7.html It works fine, cant change channels. Try orb http://www.orb.com/. They stream in flash format. It's not the best but it gets the job done.

See PCTV/Hauppauge Broadway 2T & HP Touchpad (3.0.5), specifically - using the Touchpad with the 2T's Beta Firmware (currently 3.0.532; allows USB recording etc).

Talk about an old-ish rarely commented upon thread. Whilst I was subscribed to hear any news on these ideas I went to YouTube. Query Hauppauge & HP Touchpad...bye bye slingbox!. This guy has the functionality of the idea in working order.

Unfortunately it doesn't work with the Broadway's Beta Firmware (3.0.532); v3 being required for USB recording & playback. Hence the workaround in my previous post.
However, v2.6.401 appears to work without any modification (albeit lacking v3 functionality).

Hi zintp,
it works with the released 3.0 558 firmware:

also USB recording works ! I just wish it had better EPG guide browsing for set top boxes :-(

Is there a configuration for nginx? I would like to start the nginx on the HP-Touchpad and use the nginx as a proxy.

I've just noticed that full screen doesn't work for me in IE8/Flash(11.3.300.257) with v3.0.558 (black screen with controls & audio, but no video). Downgrading to v3.0.532 and full screen works fine again with IE8/Flash.
Given this issue, I'm sticking with 3.0.532; the motivation to workaround the problems with v3.0.558 (possible WebOS 3.0.5 incompatibilities and/or IE8/Flash full screen problem) is somewhat diminished.
