I followed this tutorial on youtube two days ago and it worked perfectly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fHoQM3KW1sU
They use older alpha 1 file but just replace that with the latest files and its the exact same install. Hope this helps.

What does your command window say...
C:\Program Files (x86)\HP webOS>? or C:\Program Files\Palm, Inc?

you have to download and install this https://developer.palm.com/content/r..._download.html
before you even try to do anything
make sure you have all the necessary files in folder called "cminstall" in the root on the touchpad
then turn the touchpad off, hold the up volume button and power, then the screen turns on keep holding the up button till a usb logo comes on the TP
save the acmeinstaller on your desktop (easier to find, name it "new folder" or what ever)
open command prompt,
type in "cd C:\Users\G-Money-Desktop\Desktop\New folder"
NOTE: your folder path will not be exactly as mine, i just put that there to give you an idea
then you can run the command "novacom boot mem:// <ACMEInstaller "
and it should start installing,
ive installed android on 3 separate touchpads already

Is it worth the effort to install Android in a Touchpad cos I've read that it's still buggy & some things don't work.
I've been thinking of doing it cos the kids complain there's not enough games with WebOS.

Did this a few days ago and it works perfectly well in my opinion and shows that the hardware is up to the job as a tablet. I like webOS but I think it has lost a lot of ground over iOS and Android and I am not sure it can regain any real traction as an open source platform.
I wanted a good PDF reading package Android:EZPDF and use of the likes of Pulse and Google Currents and they are just not available in webOS, along with some other APPs that I have been using on my phone and on the Advent Vega I got last year.
Wish it were not so, but I am seeing few reasons to remain with webOS at the moment, though I would be very happy if it makes a comeback.

if you are running the latest alpha, you should not have to reset anything. if in doubt about the wifi you can always do this: (from dev site)
HOW DO I CLEAR OUT *ALL* MY WIFI SETTINGS AND START FRESH?
If you find that your wifi is "strobing" on and off, or you wish to completely wipe out all wifi settings, you can do this in one of three ways:
THE "RIGHT" WAY (USING ADB):
adb shell rm -rf /data/misc/wifi && reboot
(this will remove the settings and then force a reboot)
THE "I-DON'T HAVE ADB INSTALLED" WAY:
From the Terminal app.
# rm -rf /data/misc/wifi && reboot
(similar command as above. The # is a prompt-- don't type that part. If you see a $ prompt instead, type "su" (no quotes) and it should become a #)

Am thinking about installing cyanogen Android on my TP, have a couple of qns if anyone can answer.
1. Will the Cyanogen Mod wipe out the current webOS and install Android or just add an Android boot to the existing webOS.
2. If for any reason i want to un-install the cyanogen Android OS, is it an easy and safe process to do so without affecting my original TP stock.
3. Is beta 2.9.1 the latest version of the Cyanogen mod, for the install and i should be able to follow the above video to install it.
4. What features work and which ones are still buggy in the latest version of the CM7 install.
Thanks in advance.
Cheers !
