Help! My TouchPad keeps freezing up
Hi, my name is Margie.
I have just yesterday finally got my TouchPad connected and set up. (Last night)
Well, this morning I downloaded the newest update for the webOS, and now my tablet keeps freezing up. I cannot even turn it off. It is frozen solid.
Also, earlier I think I transferred some things from my desk computer to the tablet, like Microsoft Works, and a sip program, but I can't find them either.
What have I done wrong to my poor tablet???
Helpppp

You should use webOS doctor on the device and factory reset it. It should fix it.

Thanks for the quick reply gadgetBoy. As soon as this thing gets unfroze, I will certainly do as you suggested and try to go back to factory default. Bet I don't download anymore webOS updates.
As of right now, my tablet has been frozen for 4 hours. Can't turn it off or anything. With it frozen like this, it won't even show up when I plug it into the desktop computer I am on right now.
When I mess up, I really mess up....lol

when it's frozen like that, you need to hold power, volume buttons and home button simultaneously for 15-20 sec until it's reboot. It's like removing a battery from a frozen cell phone. I don't believe it can unfroze on its own.
On another note you can install on touchpad only software that is designed to work with WebOS. Maybe some of the stuff that you transfered and tried to install freezes up your touchpad. The update shouldn't do it.

Thanks Iramil89. I did that and unfroze the tablet. Now I'm gonna download (I hope) webOS Doctor and try to get back to my original setup..
Probably the Microsoft Works and the Power Archive r did this. Most especially the Microsoft app...
Again, thank you for your help....
