installing webOS quick install for HP touchpad

I've got WebOS Quick Install 4.3.1 and both a Win 7 x32 and x64 boxes and both when I got to run the program it doesn't detect the TP. I've got it in developer mode but still run into the same wall. What am I doing incorrectly?

    Thanks in advance.

I live in Brazil. I have an HP touchpad, I can not understand. Please tell me step by step how to install new applications, including the developer mode. It is from the PC or Tablet?

    Thank you.

If you bought it new, it won't have it. Otherwise, it should be a regular App in any of the tabs you have.

Steps to install Preware on your new webOS tablet, the HP Touchpad is fairly simple. This is very similar to the method that is used for webOS phones.

    1. Turn on Developer mode

    - You turn on developer mode for the HP TouchPad the same way as a smartphone.

Go to Just Type and type "webos20090606" without quotes or "upupdowndownleftrightleftrightbastart" without quotes.
Any of these will prompt the search to pull of the Developer Mode. You turn it on and your device should be in developer mode. If it requests a password you may just press submit.

    2. You use webOS Quick Install and select the feeds application, and select Preware. And Boom! Preware is installed. Simple and easy.

If you do not have webOS Quick Install you may get it at this link.

    As a never-done-this-before newbie I also found a great step-by-step

that provided that little additional guidance that along with the good instructions above and helped me complete this task successfully (hooray!) and on the very first try. THANK YOU!
