Hello to everyone and consider me a part of Webos community !!

I just bought new HP touchpad (32gb) and I have updated to Webos 3.02. Now I am trying to install preware using this instruction I am not getting anything. I have windows 7 ultimate.

It says install "novacom driver" installed successfully. Then I keep my touchpad to developer mode and connect to computer and click ok (in my windows 7 computer without going into USB mode). After this I am not getting anything. I waited for atleast 15 mins to load in "webos Quickinstall" window but nothing appear. I also did reinstall and restatred my touc pad and computer but it remains same.

One thing I made error or I don't know but when I tried first time putting my touchpad into Developer mode I gave password so whenever I want to put in developer mode I have to enter password. Does this impact on installing pre ware? If yes then what should I do?

I will appreciate if some one can help me to install Pre ware.

    Hi Dharmin -

I am also new to the community & I also have been having problems with installation of preware. In trying to research my problem, I wonder if this link may be helpful to you:

    Best of luck!

I was just having that issue. To get it to work for me I opened it in a command window using the command (after cd'ing to my download directory): java -jar WebOSQuickInstall-4.2.3.jar

That got the program to start up, then I disconnected and reconnected the TouchPad when it said no device was connected. It searched for a driver after reconnecting, then was able to use the program.

Same problem for me ... I got the QuickInstall program downloaded to my desktop that is running Vista. I followed all of the instructions and when I connect the TouchPad it searches for a driver and after 5 or 10 minutes it says "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it. (picture of a computer chip with "Palm Novacom" beside it)"

I have turned both of the computers on and off and reinstalled QuickInstall and keep getting the same problem???

Okay, I have webos quick install on my computer. I have used it to get hulu working on my touchpad.
Well, I am trying to install preware, but I am confused. I opened the webos quick install, and not sure where to go after that. I do not have a feeds application on my screen.

Hello everyone and special thanks for the wonderful jobs you're doing!
I have a problem. I was able to install WebOS Quick Install successfully. However, after clicking on the Globe, Preware is not in the list.
    Thanks for helping me.
