Rechargeable/wired bluetooth PS3 controller for Touchpad with webOS; will it work?

First off, total noob and this is my first total nooby post...so, please bear with me!

I am loving the emulators and would love it even more if I could use a Bluetooth (or wired...I actually don't care) controller with it.

I, however, don't have Android on my TP (I will probably wait until the warranty expires next year; in case I brick the hell out of it).

So, I would like to use the emulators (at the moment I have only played around with the SNES emulator from the HP Catalog) on webOS with a controller.

I understand that it is possible to use a wired (USB-enabled) controller with the TP, yes? And it looks like the consensus favorite seems to be the Sixaxis PS3 controllers (with Bluetooth). The problem is of course...with a wired connection I would need a power source...however, could I possibly just buy a USB-rechargeable controller (charge it with my laptop or with a wall converter) and plug/play with my TP...? I mean the TP can't charge it anyhow and won't try too. Also; would a USB to micro-USB (or mini...? Whichever the TP uses) converter work when connecting the controller into the TP?

If I get a Bluetooth (that allows wired play too) one...I can always switch to wireless post-Android (I figure I could get an extra year or two of fun out of my TP by downloading Android post-warranty). Also, can you disable Bluetooth while playing with it wired? Or would Bluetooth continuously run (I am one of those weirdos who doesn't like being bombarded with radio waves all the time) :P

Would this be possible...? webOS+emulator+wired (rechargeable) controller=game-playing awesomeness? Would I likely require a driver for a wired controller?

I am a total noob and not very tech savvy...so, any help here would be greatly appreciated!!!

P.S. I searched through the forums and Google before posted this but only found a TON of people who were able to use PS3 controller or Wii control but only with Android. What about a wired Wii and the TP with webOS? Possible?

    THANKS!!!

Also, to avoid issues with Bluetooth and/or drivers...would it be possible to use a non-powered USB controller+USB Y cable+power supply...plug into the TP and use the controller for emulators?

If that works...what would be a good controller to purchase?!?

I know these threads are getting annoying but I have heard that TP has USBotg support. Would that make it possible to use the controller with an emulator? I guess the question would then be whether or not the emulator would support the controller...?

P.S. The reason for the panic is that I am currently going to school overseas and am headed back to the US for about two weeks starting next Wednesday...was hoping to stock up on supplies when I am at home (go to school in the EU...quite a bit more expensive for electronics here!!!)
