Tired of the "Oreo effect", Give this case a try :)
So many of us pre owner's that has to suffer with a lot of Oreo or a little, This case may be for you. The Oreo Effect it the movement of both half's of the palm pre and causing them to move in opposite directions with both hands.Slight Oreo is normal, but a large amount and you should consider replacing your pre under warranty. Since were all stuck with at least a little Oreo, and cant avoid it then this case may be for you. The company claims......
"Glide through life with AGF’s GRT Case for the Palm Pre. AGF’s glide rail technology case is made with super slick glide tech resin so your phone opens and closes with ease. The great part about this case is that it protects your phones slider mechanism. Best of all this case comes with two backs AND is compatible with the Palm TouchStone Charger!"- Made with super slick glide tech resin
- Very durable
- Comes with TWO backs

I have a case just like that but the sprint version. It's way overpriced but it does the job. Personally, I don't like it that much since it makes it very bulky like a blackberry. I only use it if I am going to be running around or know that there is a good chance that I will drop it.

This is one of my biggest worries about getting my Pre+ when it finally launches on AT&T. From what I've been reading in other articles over the past 6 months, it does seem that Sprint's version is much more prone to this affect than Verizon...but I wonder how much of that is due to the fact it's only been available on Verizon for 3 months now?

its definitely for a fact a more solid phone (Pre+). the sprint is just an older version

Skins make the beautiful Pre very ugly
I prefer screen protector + original case.Maybe I am lucky but I dont have problems with the slider. It's not the perfect slider but it's not problem for me.

I have the Pre Plus on AT&T, and I have to say they really improved the slider design over the original Pre. It's a lot more solid so I don't need to worry about the oreo effect :P. Plus, I ordered an Otterbox case after reading really good reviews about it, so hopefully that keeps everything nicely protected!

I never had any issues with the "Oreo Effect". In response to JisHD's post about the Otterbox Case, I would highly recommend it. The Otterbox fits perfectly and does a great job protecting the Pre. It also adds a rubberized feel to the pre that aids in grip protection. It comes with a generic screen protector but I opted for the Zagg screen protector that just adds that extra bit of security for me.

haven't had any problems with my opening day pre yet... but a couple of my buddies have gone through multiple pres due to either "oreo" effect or because of the headphone jack... but that might need to be discussed in a different thread, either way, this case looks cool might pick me up one... maybe lol
