    HP TouchPad Touchstone worth it?

This damn thing is $80. Reminds me of the $80 Touchstone v1 when it first came out for the Pre. Now its only $5-$10. I wonder how much this thing will drop.

I have it on my nightstand, and only use it when I want to charge my TP overnight. It's about 1.48 seconds faster than plugging in the charger directly to the microUSB port on the TP.

The good thing about it is you cn still charge your touchpad wven with the cover. About the price I would wait for the price to come down.. I will look good as a picture frame

The guys at my local Best Buy say they havent heard anything about accessories dropping in price anytime soon. I suspect they hope to milk them for full price.

I pre-purchased one in the hope of it dropping in price. Has anyone seen any touchpad accessories being cleared out yet?

Can't you just use a POWERMAT instead of the touchstone since there is no different "back" to put on like the pre?

I think you might, but isn't the powermat more expensive?

The powermat is more expensive but you could use it for devices too. I'd say it's worth taking a look at.

Touchstones are now 30% off from HP's website. You can buy 2 at around $41-43 after taxes with coupon SAVE30HP or buy 1 at around $49 after taxes with coupon SAVE15HP

I got one at $40, its awesome with the LCARS Clock. The biggest drawback though is that you can't remove the cable from the stand. So it's not easy to move from one room to another without have to unplug it.

I hope this thing drops down to 20-25$, It sucks that they are still trying to push it for half the price of the actual touchpad.
