Apple ipad ios5 or hp touchpad webos 3.0.5 Ipad is better than Touchpad, most people too cheap t spend the xtra money on a superior tablet pad and using the excuse flash or Itunes dependency.. Flash was officially discontinued last week By Adobe. Adobe Air uses html6 and Microsoft Silverlight Html6 is the new motion/ad application. the Apple guy was right before he died that adobe flash is useless.
anyways, Ipad has superior support also every company from airlines to news channels to travel agencies have ipad apps. Ipad win with hands down. as to its discrete softwares associated with Apple, you need to jailbreak it to be able to hack it so u dont pay a cent to download apps and music. Many new tablets have Android, many apps for android. Everything with Android software is free and can found everywhere. the new Windows 8 is coming and is the OS that everyone been waiting for tablets. all apps developers are going crazy because a $700-900 billion dollar industry is coming their way for new apps and addons to Windows 8.
I too was convince that flash was the way to go,, but the more i understood it , the more i knew it had limitations. Also i hate itunes because Apple software are so different from pc windows. Once you go to Apple and a whole new learning curve,, you will never go back to pc. and thats a fact!
i personaly dont like apple since i grew up to PC since dos6 and wordperfect 3. old fashion somewhat. in conclusion, you could wait for Window 8 tablets 128gb in July 2012 or go ahead and get Ipad 32gb. Apple products really dont drop their prices since retailers have a strict agreement with Apple.
Acer, Toshiba, Sony will have a huge 50%-65% price drop before the springtime. if your lucky , get yourself a android until the meantime.
i like to add, many people who are on here , are here because they like to be a want a be self educated mister know it all hacking into their webos, who mostly have illegal windows operating software from windows 98, windows 2000, windows xp and pirated windows 7. most wont admit to it. but atleast youll get lots of good help on here when you decide to hack a Touchpad if you decide to buy. over and out!
for free ebooks and tablet movies, go to mobilism

Only if either tablet can play any movie file that support up to 1080p format, that would be gold. Will be awesome for those who tend to travel a lot but dont want to bring a laptop with them. If the next Ipad had the full movie file option, I would get it in a heart beat!

I would take iPad any day. I used to own a ipod and I loved the app store. It was simply easier to use and also have a huge selection of games. Touch pad is also good. If honeycomb ever gets released on the touchpad, its an easy win for touchpad by price and flash capability

Ipad if paying full price on both tablets. But many here got touchpad for less than 200, in this price, no other tablet with screen this size and processor and ram can beat it. I got mine for 99, can think of ipad ever

the ipad is superior, but I don't see how it justifies spending 300 dollars or more for it.... the touchpad fills all my needs

been an apple guy for a long time, however I have to say that I love my touchpad. I LIke the os the multitasking, everything about it. I have used an iPad. I just have to say as for preference i'll take webOS. Still it's really up to the person and what they want. As much as I'll never use a Windoze PC because I hate anything Windoze, I can't see plunking down the cash it would take for an iPad when I can do what I want and then some with my Touchpad. And if your an APP whore well just use cyanogen and you can multi boot android. Mod 9 is sitting on my TP right now. I have to say that it really is just sitting there. I play with it on occasion but find myself always coming back to the touchpad.

Although I think the iPad is a better tablet and iOS a better operating system, I think the TouchPad is just fine for the money. At full price though, its not even close. iOS feels much more refined. But hey, you get what you pay for...

you posted on a warez forum. so you would want an ipad2 for 3 reasons. apptrakr, cydia, and resell value.
