Lightbulb I got mine- let the gaming begin!

I am a longtime Palm faithful(all the way back to Handspring no less!) and just bought myself 2 very handsome Christmas gifts- upgraded my AT&T Pre to a Pre 3, and bought a Touchpad. Not at firesale prices <sigh!>, but thanks to eBay, got them for reasonable prices. I love both devices- syncing to my webOS account was fast and painless, although getting AT&T to adopt their bastard offspring was another issue. They were finally able to cobble together some sort of support for it and got everything running except GMail chat through the messaging app, but I have noted others had similar problems.

My only beef so far is the games- the ones i liked on my Pre promptly broke on the Pre 3 with no hope of a fix it seems. I like simple board/puzzle games and Lopan no longer works with the accelerometer. Hasbor's Yahtzee doesn't work either- the screen comes up but none of the controls do. Other than that both devices are wicked fast, great calls, love the tap feature, and the voice dialing!

I have installed Preware on both devices- first on the Touchpad, and then on the Pre 3 to see if I could solve the games issue.

If anyone has any suggestions for improvement- let me know!

If you're a desktop gamer and fancy some casual couch gaming you can install SplashTop HD and connect to your PC (even remotely) and play certain things. A Bluetooth keyboard comes recommended but some people have got games like World of Warcraft working pretty well.

go over to XDA developers and install Android (I prefer Xron's version but you can pick what works for you). It's VERY easy and you can still boot into WebOS. I spend most of my time in Android these days on my Touchpad, but still frequently go back to WebOS goodness. Nearly every game on the Android market works flawlessly on the Touchpad...it just takes some trial and error.
