Thread: webOS newb *

I just bought a Palm Pre 2 for posterity, off of ebay for my mom and my brother. It will be first experience with webOS and a touchphone really lol i know, i'm old-school and loyal.i'm stuck with symbian 3 and my E71 because I want to be. I lurv it. I feel i might end up loving webOS. Although, I do have a macbook..i don't want an iphone [maybe a nano for the pedometer. btw does anyone know if webos has a pedometer/running app? for mom.]

..i was peeking through flickr at pics of the pre 2..it's great. why do people complain? it is a little thick..reminds me of nokia 3650 in thickness..but i'm sure it's thinner. why does only one or two of the cell phone makers decide what everyone 'wants'. doesn't make sense to me. if it appeals to me and it's solid and feels right ..great design in general..then i'll like that and will be loyal. functional also..with a bit of practical. i've dug around the interwebs on the whole hp/palm/webos mess..it's sad and fishy...i smell conspiracy? [or they are really cheap and like to footdrag and never planned on doing anything substantial and or didn't know what they were doing and were in the wrong job. meaning an exec or three. anyway..i feel it will come back. can't keep something good down..even if pressured by competition etc..oh! btw.. my two gift pre 2's from ebay are at my local mail sorting facility with usps and are due to arrive today...i'm excited! they are the later unlocked versions..and i'm hoping they will take tmobile sims from the get-go..yikes. ..but i'm ready for a hack adventure..since you are all astute webos ppl and have posted great info...

and btw..if there are any other webos palm fans that are female..hope i can meet others too..my name is Susan from AZ
