    Thumbs up App Recommendations!

in this thread i would like to recommend the webosbuzz user a few apps which i think are worth taking a look at or even using them

    1. SPAZ
a very nice looking twitter client packed with a lot of features best twitter app for free (my opinion)
Spaz: A Twitter, Identi.ca and StatusNet client for Palm® Pre?, Windows, Mac OS X and Linux

    2. COMICS
an app to look up your favorite comics daily doesnt matter if it is calvin & hobbes or even the pictures posted on Failblog or VeryDemotivational. new comics are still added ! definetly worth a try!
    Comics | PreCentral.net

    3. GOWALLA
an app to share places where you like to go for example a good restaurant or a good coffe shop. very nice UI and a quite big Community. try or die tryin :P
Palm USA | Palm webOS Applications | Mobile apps that go further.

if a few people like those apps i will post a few more recommendations... but other can do so as well!

so if you have an app on your palm you think is worth getting used or tried... post it

I like Top Stocks...but other than that, I can't really think of any apps I use that aren't free.

None of my favorite apps are in the app catalog.. and IMO are must-haves for 90% of all pre/pixi/plus users...the other 20% will always be a decade or so behind the times!

Here they are, in no particular order because the all rock:

    1. Internalz - an on-device file manager that just hit a huge update that allows the user full read/write capabilities of all device directories and files, can install app/patch files (like having WOSQI on the pre), has a text-editor, etc...). It allows us users to do so much more with our phones. For example, if you like to (or would like to) customize your device without installing a theme then it doesn't get much easier than this (without having a "rooted" device). Find the location of the icon you want to change (there are a few guides out there that list 'em all, but I'm way too tired to go look for them now) and copy it to a folder you create in media/internal, thensenf that file to your PC to edit/replace, then simply send it back to your device & copy it back to the original location. It's even easier using Wifi-Media-Sync (which can be "Buzzed") to transfer the files to your PC. You could also get the files by unzipping WebOSDoctor...or you could get the file sizes from one of the aforementioned "guides" and go to work from scratch (DISCLAIMER: do at your own risk; can be highly addictive, beware of dog).

    2. Preware - For me, this is the real app catalog...plus you can view the official app catalog apps thru Preware...where you can browse, install, & update beta apps, web apps, patches, themes, etc...

3a. NaNPlayer - A music player that's in an invite-only beta testing phase (invites are available by request/approval at the NaNPlayer thread over at P|C). A totally different UI than the stock app and the remix app. IMO it puts the stock player to shame...kinda like comparing a BMW and a Yugo.

3b - Music-Player-Remix - It uses Palm's music player code, so it is virtually identical (aesthetically) to the stock player, but in terms of functionally... there is no comparison to the stock player. This is how the stock player should be out-of-the-box.

    4. - UberKernel & Govnah - Overclock $ manage the processor (which speeds up the device significantly).

I'd like to write more about #s 2,3, 4 but I'm way too tired.

    P.Sout

PREWARE is a must on any WEBOS device. but that is obvious
Sparkle has to be one of my favorites. very fun and challenging especially when you spend some time with it and unlock some things
All the angry birds are great as well.
spot the difference pro is fun for a couple of people.
    oddblob is pretty good.
superjump and surprisingly hairy legs are both fun, good toilet games.

Dr.battery is awesome. can tell you the health of your battery not just remaining charge . I thought my phone was just messed up from some patch or combination. The battery would only last like 6 hours of moderate use and it would should off when it said there was around 20% battery remaining. downloaded this app and saw that my battery health was down to 40% so I ordered some new ones on amazon for $2 each. now i can go 9 hours with moderate/heavy usage and have like 30% when I get home.

    for the touchpad
angry birds HD and sparkle HD of course.
glow hocky HD is good for a couple of people
differences is also fun for more than 1 player
    robotek HD is pretty neat.
the speed game is ok but stupidly slow.
    dead runner is pretty neat
coloring book and peekaboo are great for kids.
