OVERCLOCKING the palm pre´s processor is set at 500mhz...
with those tips in the article (which is part 3 of 3 ) you can now go up to 1000mhz!
links to part 1 & 2 are on the linked page
(my palm runs with 800mhz and the overclocking is really easy to handle)

I've been using the compcache 800Mhz kernel for a while now and I haven't had a single TMC error on my sprint pre since. I can load up as many 3D games as I want and not get it.
I've been thinking about going up to the 1Ghz one but this phone has to last me until December 2011.... so I think I'll wait for a more stable release from the webos-internals team.

i'm using the 800mhz screen off and on one. and its been stable, never a problem. but i'm pretty sure 1.05GHZ is pushing it a bit too much. wouldn't want to risk it just yet. until maybe palm announces something..

Palm did announce something a little bit ago about it.
They recommended not doing it as it would void your warranty.Life is a journey, not a destination.

my post was an information not a recommendation
i also have an 800mhz kernel and im very satisfied with this speed i also think that 1050mhz is a little over the top... but hey its possible :P

let us know if you try it out and how it turns out. by the looks of things, i might have to hold this phone for another 8 months.

I've been sticking with UberKernel. Kinda freaked out by those 1 GHZ and above ones.

I have the 1ghz which is essentially the updated version of the Uber. It's noticeably faster than 800mhz and it's stable. Not too sure how stable the Blackbird is however.

Overclocking definitely made my device work a lot quicker and the drain on the batter was not too bad. Encountered some issues with making calls and other core apps. Anyone else experience the same ???

Overclocked my Pre to 800mhz. After that starting Apps and scrolling through the menu was faster but none of the 3D Apps would start
Set my Pre to standard mhz again and everything works fine now. So I#M staying with the standard speed for now.

That's weird. From what I understand the games run at 600mhz. When I had the previous of Uberkernal I was running it in screenstate made at 500/800 and my apps and games and gps ran fine with the exception of the gps making my phone run hot. And now I'm running screenstate at 500/1000. And all my games still run fine. What game were you trying to run?
